Reread Sandwich (Catherine Newman), because I enjoyed it so much and wanted to annotate it for a future summer reading post. This was the only thing I read this week, and took my time with it — reading a little in the morning, and a little before bed every night.
Can’t wait to share my books on upcoming summer reading post, but for now I’ll leave you with this quote:
“You could decide to be happy,” a friend told me once. She’s a therapist, and we were walking in the woods near my house, stopping every now and then to call back to an owl who was hooting at us from the trees.
“The rest of it? Put it in a little boat in your mind and just push it to sea.”
“Are you telling me to repress my sorrow and anger?” I said, surprised, and she said
“Not repress. Set free.”

Since I am celebrating seven years since my wedding, I want to share a few photos from that weekend. Putting this together made me so nostalgic!!!
Look, I was really young (freshly 24) and very in love, and the only thing I wanted was to be married to my handsome husband and have a fabulous party. And that’s exactly what happened.
Happy anniversary to my sweet and handsome husband. I love you deeply.
